Weather Updates

Rain makes things complicated for our program as we do not have any indoor space that we can use for our program and everything is held outdoors. If the courts are soaked as seen in the picture here, we definitely cannot have tennis, even if it’s not raining anymore. The surface is too slick, which makes it hazardous to play. If we find that there are dry spots and the courts are drying quickly, we may try to still get it in. Additionally, the weather can be fickle, so we want to try and get it in if the courts are dry and there may be rain in the forecast. Thanks for your understanding.

9/27- ALL Sunday Local Leagues have been cancelled for today- Downingtown and Southwest Chester County at Avon Grove.

9/26- ALL Saturday Local Leagues have been cancelled for today- Central Delco, Octorara, West Chester and Marple Newtown. Makeup times will be determined per location.

9/20 UPDATE 2- The rain has stopped and we are going to try and give it a shot in Avon Grove and Downingtown. As a reminder, in Downingtown Orange Ball is 1pm-2pm, Green Ball is 2pm-3pm, and Red Ball will be 2pm-3:20pm. In Avon Grove, Orange AND Red Ball are 1pm-2pm, Green Ball will be from 2pm-3pm.

9/20- The weather is moving in this morning, but we are hoping that it passes by later this morning, enough times for the courts to dry. Due to the weather and the fact that we haven’t gotten a Red Ball Division in on Sunday, we will be delaying those division in Downingtown and Southwest Chester County for today. The Red Ball Division for Southwest Chester County at Avon Grove will tentatively now go from 1pm-2pm and combine with the Orange Ball division. The Red Ball Division for the Downingtown League will tentatively go from 2pm-3pm and combine with the Green Ball Division. We will update again if we have to cancel the remaining sessions between 11:00am and 11:30am.
